The Barbados Student Nurses Association is the junior body to the BNA. Its mandate is to assist student nurses throughout the island in accomplishing Nursing Status. This body has embarked on various initiatives to assist all levels of student nurses.

The Commonwealth Nurses Federation (CNF), founded in 1973, is a federation of national nursing and midwifery associations in Commonwealth countries

The purpose of CNO is to work towards improving the health of all people of the Caribbean, by promoting improvement in the standards of nursing care, and by advancing the educational, economic and professional welfare of all nurses. CNO seeks to influence health and nursing policy regionally and to empower the National Nurses Associations in the Caribbean to work on behalf of nurses, nursing and the people of the Caribbean.

The Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados was officially registered as a Trade Union Organization in Barbados on 4th August 1995. This umbrella body was officially launched on Saturday, 12th August 1995 at the Barbados Workers’ Union -‘Solidarity Hous
